Antonieta Castro na Unesco

A pintora Antonieta Castro, que acabou de expor os seus trabalhos no Centro Unesco do Porto, veio confirmar a excelente surpresa que nos proporcionou, quando da sua exposição colectiva no ano passado, sob o tema «Porto Património Mundial», onde apresentou um conjunto de peças marcadas de elementos lumínicos e cromáticos de grande sedução e expressividade.

Nesta exposição individual de aguarelas, a artista revela os talentos que caracterizam um gestualismo de desenho e de mancha, valorizado por um texto cromático e humanista bastante energético e sedutor.

Neste sentido, as imagens que nos apresenta estão envolvidas de uma força mítica e, ao mesmo tempo, comunicam à imaginação do observador a transparência da simplicidade matérica das personagens indefinidas e pensantes, mas também carregadas de emoções e transcendências.

Para lá de algumas peças em que o decorativo se sobrepõe ao conceptualismo poético e gestualista, o trabalho da pintora activa a consciência do ser e liberta as explicitações de um mundo novo que se situa no plano das essências que estão orientadas para as paisagens interiores cujas linhas de força são seguramente sustentadas por vínculos pictóricos que formalmente dão mais vigor à intenção criativa da artista,

Pode dizer-se que na pintura de Antonieta Castro há uma liberdade maior na expressão e transparência da cor, motivo por que a aguarelista consegue alcançar superior sedução sempre que recorre a um eixo combinatório de natureza gestualista, funcionando este como entidade espiritual susceptível de explicitar o encantamento do seu léxico cromático, onde o sentido de mistério e de evasão cosmológica estão também patentes.

The painter Antonieta Castro, who has exhibited her work at the Oporto UNESCO Centre, has confirmed the excellent surprise she proportioned us with last year at the collective exhibition which took place under the theme: “Oporto’s World Patrimony”, where she exhibited a set of co-joined work marked by luminic and chromic elements of grand seduction and expressiveness.
In this individual exhibition of watercolour paintings, the artist reveals talents characterising a movement of drawing and stain, valued by a chromic and humanist text which is very energetic and seductive.
Thus, the images she shows us are involved by a mystic force and, at the same time, they communicate with the imagination of the observer outstanding the transparency of the anthithesis between mind and matter of the indefinite and thinking personages, but also, full of emotion and transcendency.
Apart from some work in which the decorative surpasses itself by the poetic and gesture conception, the work of the artist activates the human conscious and liberates the explicitness of a new world situated in its essence, oriented to the interior landscapes wherein its lines of force are surely sustained by pictorestic lines giving a stronger vigour to the artist’s creativeness.
One can say that in Antonieta Castro’s paintings, there is a wider freedom of expression and transparency of colour, a motive by which the watercolour painter manages to reach a superior seduction whenever she reaches the linkage of the gesture of nature, thus functioning as a spiritual entity susceptible to explicit the enchantment of its chromic lexicon, where the sense of mystery and the cosmic evasion are also obvious.
